    beautiful pic – thank you

  2. Awesome! Love it. Her eyes look a bit odd.

  3. Awesome! Love it.

  4. Gees, is this really the pic that caused such a kerfuffle? Like you say, not quite sure how anyone can find it vulgar.

I think the mum looks quite graceful actually, all things considered, and am super-duper impressed that she is not only smiling but STANDING and HOLDING her baby clearly just moments after pushing it out. RESPECT! (Please don’t tell me she had those jeans ready to waltz off out of the hospital minutes later? My legs would have been jelly)

  5. I love how facebook removes any picture of a breastfeeding or birthing mother as it’s considered offensive, but all the trolls leaving heinous messages on RIP pages seem to be considered okay…

Btw, I love the picture, but I’m exactly the kind of sicko who would so love to have taken a photo like this. It would be my proudest picture. The closest I come is boobs, umbilical cord, and some vernix 🙂

Bloody well said Celeste! Couldn’t agree more!!!
But must agree with Jenny… the look in her eyes is just a little bit crazy scary! But perhaps that’s what natural birth does to a woman?

I agree, she looks very good for just delivering a baby and the wet spot on the bed could easily be a cup of water… there far more quantities of fluids involved when giving birth.

Wonder wot would have happened should it have been a pic of a baby still connected to the umbilical cord with mom laying in theatre before having her insides re-inserted after a c-section? Just a thought – Happy birthday btw…
